Little London is a charming, two-bedroom home nestled in the village of Ninfield, Sussex. This inviting home dates to 1645, and retains much of its character with exposed beams, high ceilings and an ornate fireplace. Over the last 120 years, this property has been a range of shops, from a shop and repair shop, a Post Office and a bakery. Little London is a pet-friendly abode, welcoming both family and friends and offers off-road parking for one car. Enter inside and discover the sitting room; here you can unwind on the sofa as the electric fire glows and the TV keeps you entertained. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare heart-warming meals, which can be savoured in the wood-panelled dining room over a glass of wine. Sliding doors lead out to the rear courtyard, beautifully-presented with flowers and shrubbery and hosting furniture and parasol to dine alfresco. As the evening winds to a close, the ground floor has a bright coloured double bedroom, which is serviced by a shower room, ideal for those with limited mobility. Venture upstairs to the first floor to discover the family bedroom with a double and single bed, a TV and a lovely en-suite bathroom. The village of Ninfield enjoys a slower pace of life and is home to a Post Office to stock up on the essentials and two pubs to enjoy a chilled pint. If you dont fancy cooking head to the The Blacksmith pub at the end of the road which does takeout food, and only 3 minutes from the property. Within easy reach is the historical town of Battle, known for its Norman landing in 1066; here you can tour the mediaeval Battle Abbey or get outdoors at Battle Great Woods. The peaceful town of Bexhill-on-Sea is also worth a trip, at 3.5 miles away, here you can relax on a shingle beach or admire the coastal views from Seven Sisters National Park and Glyndebourne. History buffs will be thrilled with a trip to the town of Hastings, where the battle of Hastings took place in 1066 and where you can dine out with a great selection of eateries to choose from. For other days out you are 3.5 miles from Cooden and its lovely beach, and 12 miles from Eastbourne. For a memorable getaway to Sussex, choose Little London.
Ninfield is a village in East Sussex four miles north of Bexhill-on-Sea and the same distance from Battle. To the west lies Standard Hill, where William the Conqueror may have put his standard after Hastings. Ninfield was a smuggling hub in the 18th century, but today it's a tranquil Sussex village with traditional pubs, a village green, and great hikes with views of the sea. Ninfield offers the best of Bexhill and Battle to visitors. The traditional coastal town of Bexhill-on-Sea features shops, restaurants, and bars. It's the origin of British motor racing and home to the De La Warr Pavilion, which hosts exhibits. Cute beach huts are available for day use, and the sea is safe for sailing, rowing, and windsurfing. Bexhill Sailing Club hosts races from March to November, and members of the local Rowing Club are often visible riding the waves. Battle is known for its rich history, with Battle Abbey towering above its centre and historical buildings lining its narrow lanes.

Very pretty courtyard garden and easy access to seaside at Bexhill. Perfect for a relaxing break
William
The courtyard garden was a good sun trap. Being very tall it was difficult to get up the stairs to our bedroom and out of the kitchen. The only drawback was that the front of the house never got the sun and was dark and cool at night. The surrounding area had lots to see and visit and we were lucky with the weather.
