Coast Guard House in Herne Bay offers a delightful stay with stunning views, spacious rooms, and direct beach access. Guests appreciate the property's suitability for large groups and families, the hot tub, and the proximity to local attractions. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many looking forward to returning.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, though some guests have reported sticky marks, dirty marks, and dust in certain areas. The majority of reviews, however, do not highlight cleanliness as a major issue.
The location is consistently praised for its easy access to the beach, stunning views, and convenient distance from nearby towns. It is considered ideal for both relaxation and exploring the local area.
Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and the property spacious enough for large groups. However, some have mentioned that the sofas are worn and uncomfortable, slightly affecting the overall comfort.
Facilities like the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, but several reviews mention maintenance issues such as leaks, a broken blind, and the need for additional showers. These concerns suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Great location (although a little tricky to find first time, Google maps wants to take you to the cottages which is not the same place). All bedrooms good size and beds very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Maybe one more toilet would have been nice. Hot tub was a major success, used every day. Football field and beach nearby was excellent. Car parking great. Heating control was very challenging to work out and needs simplifying or much better instructions. Would definitely book again if we can get a similar value deal next time. Thank you very much for our wonderful family memories! :)

A hose had been left running that flooded the garden and we didn't realise for a couple of days. There was a part of the upstairs tap missing but it still worked. Quite a lot of cobwebs on lights in dining area. One of the bifold doors wouldn't open - possibly broken. Lots of steps, one painted black by downstairs bathroom that we tripped over. But lovely location, comfortable beds, good parking spaces, hot tub was great.

A lovely house, could have been a better with attention to some details as others have mentioned. There needs to be another shower for the number of people the house can accommodate. The downstairs bedroom with decking had an awful smell of drains which clearly needs some attention, not pleasant for sleeping on a hot night. Unfortunately we couldnât get the induction hob to work and the delivery of frying pans werenât suitable for the hob. No hot tub towels provided, which were promised but didnât arrive. Such a shame as the house and itâs location is really lovely
