The cottage is noted for its high standard of cleanliness, with guests expressing satisfaction with the tidiness and upkeep of the property.

The central location is praised for being convenient for exploring nearby beaches and villages. However, the view has been somewhat affected by ongoing building work, which has slightly impacted the overall experience.

About this property

A charming end-terrace cottage resting on the outskirts of the town of Fraddon, 4 Higher Fraddon is a delightful base for a family or two couples, along with their four-legged friends, ideal for exploring Cornwall. Park off-road and unpack into this well-presented property. With bare stone feature walls and a light and airy atmosphere, be welcomed into the open-plan living space, where guests will find a delightfully furnished kitchen space with ample amenities and stylish blue cupboards, an ideal spot to cook up a storm, and from here, serve your masterpiece at the dining table, beside the stone fireplace and the welcoming glow of the woodburning stove. The sitting area overlooks the garden through bifold doors which can be opened in the warmer months to let in the fresh air. Access the rear garden and enjoy a glass of fizz in the sunshine as your four-legged family member reclines in the grass beside you. Freshen up in the contemporary shower room, before settling down into one of the two beautifully presented bedrooms. Choose between a king with en-suite bathroom with a claw foot bath ideal for a soak amongst the bubbles, and a second double with an en-suite shower room and beautiful bare stone feature wall. Fraddon is a Cornish town with easy access to local attractions. The town offers a selection of amenities, including a convenience store and local bars and eateries, for example The Blue Anchor Inn. Further from the property you will find Goss Moor National Nature Reserve, an ideal spot for birdwatching and enjoying a countryside walk. On first arrival the downstairs is beautiful. Modern contemporary and stylish. However a few things have spoiled our stay. The paper window blinds are confusing, they don’t work and it’s a mystery why there was paper at the windows, the towels were small, thin and old, there was no shelves or hooks in the bathrooms and no storage in the smaller bedroom, meaning we had to live out our suitcase. The last concern was the view, whilst in the listing it said there was some building work at the rear of the property, however neither the description or photos showed that in fact there are 3 new cottages with 3 more being build that obscures the view. Meaning the photos on the listing that are still there are out of date. The listing shows an unimpeded view, when this is not the case.

Its central location is good for access to the beaches & seaside villages, especially Newquay & St Austell. The cottage is full of character & has a high standard of cleanliness. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, like home from home. The garden is big, enclosed & great for dogs to run around. The paper blinds really need to go & be replaced with something easier to manage. More hanging space in the larger bedroom would be good too as we had to live out of our suitcase for the week. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard & everything in there is modern. It was lovely & quiet with a great outlook too. The weather wasn’t kind to us while we were there but it would be lovely to sit on the decking with a glass of wine watching the sunset. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodation & would certainly return.

It has a great central location within easy access to St Austell and Bodmin as well as Boscastle, Perranporth and many other places of interest. The house has been refurbished beautifully and is laid out very conveniently and well furnished. Everything was available that we wanted and the garden suited our dog very well being completely secure. The building works over the back were no issue whatsoever. Everything great but the weather!
