Itâs not the smartest of holiday cottages but it is homely, comfortable, well equipped and, best of all, has a terrific view and safe back garden for the children to play in. Iâve made the points about cleanliness in previous feedback. This time we found an old vape under one of the beds in the childrenâs room which was not ideal. And this was not John Brayâs fault, but the building work to the house below Windyhill was intrusive and interfered with the view. On the day that cement was delivered to the site, our car was blocked in the drive for a period. You warned us about the building, but didnât offer any compensation. Finally, a plea: now that the Covid restrictions are over, could you please allow more leeway on the day of departure. Getting a big group up and out of the house, and leaving the house clean and tidy by 9am is hard work and stressful.

The views were spectacular and you are able to see the surf at Polzeath beach easily to assess whether itâs good to surf! A great addition was the outside warm shower to save you bringing sand into the house. The house was really well equipped and spacious so you never were on top of each other. We kept our teenage boys in the bunk room - so the bunk beds were great. My only criticism is that linen for the beds is not supplied as having to make up beds when you first arrive is a bit annoying but no big deal. Just to let the owners know that the building work in front of the house didnât bother us too much but they did get a crane stuck all day there as it broke down in front of our driveway! Overall we loved our stay and would adore to book again next year for the week before which I have already been in touch about. Thanks again.
