After parking up and unloading your belongings (yes, this shepherds hut even has a wardrobe), rustle up a tasty dish in the neat kitchenette; venture outside and relax in your very own private outdoor space, soaking in the rural views and toasting to a wonderful break over a cold glass of fizz, as your pooch plays safely. Spend your evening alfresco, sharing stories or playing games and take a dip in the hot tub, the perfect way to soothe your tired legs after a long day of sightseeing! Hittisleigh is a small, rural hamlet set in mid Devon, located a couple of miles north of the A30 between Exeter and Okehampton. The hamlet is home to the Parish Church of St Andrews, built in the early medieval time with many later historic features such as reputedly the oldest church bells in Devon. Three miles away lies the hamlet of Whiddon Down, home to a fine pub, whilst further afield is the market town of Okehampton, where visitors can explore the ruins of Okehampton Castle, a prominent landmark and testament to the town’s medieval past, or explore several galleries and workshops that celebrate the creativity of local artists. The spectacular Dartmoor National Park is easily accessible and boasts a myriad of walking and hiking trails, spanning through unspoiled countryside and local wildlife.

Lovely peaceful location Took longer than expected to heat hot tub- didnât get hot enough to use until 2nd day. Paddock could use grass cutting as grass very long.

Grass could do with cutting, especially if you need to pick up dog mess garden was advertised as being dog proof but was later informed that there was the gap underneath the gate so it was not secure
