It's the perfect bolthole for family or friends looking to holiday in this fabulous town, accessed via 22 steps from the road to the front door of the cottage, it has a lounge with cosy woodburner (Guests to bring their own wood), dining room, recently refurbished kitchen, rear fully enclosed courtyard with seating and lighting on the ground floor. The first floor there is a double bedroom, twin room and a family bathroom. The property also offers a parking permit and is pet friendly!
This property is less than a minutes walk from Dartmouth's main shops, restaurants, cafes and independent stores. The main river front is less than a 5 minute walk from the property, enjoy an evening eating fish and chips looking out to the River Dart from a bench.

Pets: 1 Pet is welcome. Note - you will need to pay an additional pet fee and you must not leave dogs unattended in the property.
Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Marsden Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

A pleasant but small 2 bedroom cottage near the centre of Dartmouth, had a great shower and double bed was very comfy. Negative points were, the set up for the TV was laborious to say the least and not that clear from the instructions that were left Was given the wrong Talk Talk network and password so no WiFi until we spotted the code on the back of the hub under table. The cottage needs a deep clean, there were dog hairs everywhere, on settees, pillows and carpet, a lot of dust on plug sockets radiators bedframes etc. The toaster hadn't been cleaned from the last occupants, was covered in crumbs. Couldn't use the tiny back yard as it was quite dirty and table and chairs hadn't been cleaned to sit on. Overall it was homely and well decorated but needs the issues mentioned addressed. First cottage I've stayed in that there wasn't a welcome pack, not even a bottle of wine Could do with a few homely touches.

Helm Cottage is comfortable and well equipped. The location is less than 5 minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants.

Good location to visit places. Very hard to find parking spaces in Dartmouth. Advise use park & ride. 22 steps up to property but be careful as some steps loose.
