Conveniently located towards the end of Island Street, near to both the boat park and slipway, the cottage is within just a few minutes' walk of the town centre and waterfront. The two-storey accommodation is ideally suited to families or couples - with or without a dog - and has a spacious, sunny terrace and small garden to the rear, the perfect place to enjoy a barbecue after a day exploring the delights of Salcombe and the surrounding area.

A set of steps lead up from Gould Road directly into the fully refurbished kitchen/dining room with table comfortably seating six. The light, bright sitting room has been tastefully furnished with two three-seater sofas, a bay delightful window, TV with DVD player and electric feature fire. A pair of French doors lead out to the rear garden and terrace where guests can enjoy warm summer evenings. There are three bedrooms in total. The master has a double bed, the second bedroom is a twin with a Juliet balcony, offering views towards Batson Creek and Snapes Point in the distance. The third bedroom, designed for children, has a set of bunk beds. A tiled family bathroom, on the first floor, boasts a bath and shower (over), whilst a small shower room is accessed from the kitchen. In addition to the front terrace is a good-size rear garden/terrace area with outdoor furniture.

Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.
