Contained things needed for a week away ie utensils, white goods. There were a few issues. The bottom oven is not working, which was mentioned a few times in the guest book which might be tricky if a whole family staying. The shower head could not be adjusted up as that aspect was broken. We wedged a bottle under it to make it higher! There may be an issue with the outside down pipe as water was leaking from it after showers etc. But all in all enjoyed our stay. Thanks for wine and biscuits.

Again had a fabulous time. Weather was great. Had a very chilled week. But we managed the market on the Esplanade, trip to Blue Anchor for coffee, cake and walks along the beech. Sunrise, sunsets just amazing. Bbq with the family on the terrace. Comfortable beds. We are lucky to still have our lab at 10yrs old and she lives her best life in the rock pools. ( Hobbled home tho) Only one thing to moan about, main oven isn't working so needs a look at. Not a biggie because we used top oven. But most of the time just 2 of us. Maybe a bigger family might not feel the same. Loved it tho. And we will be back I'm sure for our 5th visit.

Owner said it was a back-up from further along the terrace and Wessex Water would deal with it. To my mind it was a leak from the soil pipe, but I did not inspect it closely! Also, oven problems - lower oven did noit always work and the timer did not ring. I understand the cooker is under warrenty and the owner is dealing with this. The cottage is lovely - this was our second stay - and we would consider coming back
