An endearing property, resting within the centre of the historic market town of Tewkesbury. This 14th century, Grade II listed dwelling rests along the River Avon, near the River Severn, and makes an idyllic base for a friends and family getaway to the wonderful Cotswolds. Cottage was lovely and warm and very well equipped. Lovely little garden. Every thing you would need in the cottage and also on your doorstep, once we parked the car we did not need to us it.

Tewkesbury is lovely Market Town,and River Cottage is situated a few minutes walk from the town centre,if you want a modern 21st century property this place is not for you,but if you like a period property,with charm then you will find River Cottage Ideal,in the second floor front bedroom you can hear the water rushing over weir on the Avon,and the quarter hour chimes of the Abbey,all very relaxing

We can't get over how cosy and so well 'stocked' the Cottage was which has never been our experience with the 'competition' out there. What a treat. You are most trusting and we hope others who stay there are just as respectful as we tried to be. We'd love to know more about the Cottages architecture and its history.
