Guests say

Sutton Barn is highly praised for its comfortable accommodation, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful setting in the Wye Valley. Guests appreciate the friendly and accommodating hosts, as well as the property's peacefulness and proximity to good walks and local attractions. While there is a mention of a negative experience due to external circumstances, the majority of reviews reflect a very positive stay.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, one review mentioned cleanliness issues, which slightly impacts the overall high score.

The location is consistently described as lovely, with easy access to walks and local areas of interest, contributing to a high score for this category.

Guests frequently mention the comfort of the property, noting it as peaceful and well-furnished. A few concerns about the beds and noise from scaffolding slightly lower the score.

The facilities, especially the kitchen, are generally praised as well-equipped. However, one review cites issues with outdoor furniture and ongoing maintenance work, which affects the score.

While guests have mentioned the friendliness of the hosts, there is no specific reference to gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be determined from the available reviews.

A very comfortable place to say, fully equipped and a lovely wood burner too. Would heartily recommend to anyone wanting to explore the Forest of Dean. Do visit ‘The Moody Cow’ for a great meal out or ‘The Hen and Dot Cafe’ at Flanesford Priory - combined perhaps with a look round the nearby Goodrich Caste. And of course there’s Symmonds Yat - the dramatic starting point for a 10 mile walk with the ‘White Horse’ at Staunton a very convenient pub to stop for lunch. Our hosts were lovely too!

It is situated in a small village and has a spacious frontage for parking and a large area of beautiful cared for lawn area with wild flower beds. The moment we entered the barn we could see that this was a well cared for house. It had everything you would need and was all the rooms were clean and well furnished. Kate and David were perfect hosts and we would love to stay there again. The barn is a very popular venue and has number of regular visitors so I sugest you book early befor al the dates are filled
