The welcome pack was thoughtful and we really enjoyed the homemade cake. The property is a little tired, just tiny things like scratched floor, rusty radiator, dishwasher not working. It was expensive for 5 nights so I would have expected a little more, but it’s a beautiful location and we had a nice time. I also think the front door should be knocked by anyone checking the hot tub rather than just coming through the back fence, whether or not they shout hello first. I didn’t hear them so was surprised to find 3 people there when I came downstairs on Monday afternoon.

My only gripe is the 4pm check in and 9:30 check out (although I understand the challenge and need for cleaning, etc.). Have previously stayed at The Wain House too. Excellent. Hope to stay again in the future.

We enjoyed sitting in the yard in the late afternoon as it is a sun trap. The surrounding are is beautiful and the local pubs all served excellent food, though it’s best to book rather than just show up. The cottage is a good base for exploring Shropshire/Hereford being close to Church Stretton, Ludlow and Much Wenlock which are nice towns.
