Clun 1.5 miles. Rockhill Farmhouse is a stunning stone cottage located near the charming town of Clun, in the heart of Shropshire Hills National Landscape. Nestled in the middle of vast plains of fields and hills, this property sleeps four and is perfectly placed for nature-lovers and hikers travelling with a furry friend. Walk into the property to find a well-presented sitting room where you’ll be able to kick your feet up on the plush sofas and warm up by the woodburning stove with a book or to watch something on the Smart TV. When you’re feeling peckish, make use of the fully-equipped, contemporary kitchen to whip up a meal and enjoy it at the dining table or the breakfast bar. During warmer months, open up the patio doors, grill a feast on the barbecue and eat out in the sunshine. You’ll also have access to all 4-acres of the nearby fields to walk the dog or have a picnic at the tables while taking in the stunning countryside and valley views. It lies on the Shropshire Way in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the border of Wales, an area known as The Marches. This unspoilt part of Britain has an abundance of wildlife and beautiful unhindered walking and cycling routes winding their way through the countryside with the Clun and Kerry Forests, Offa's Dyke, and Kerry Ridgeway all close by. There are a wide range of festivals and shows on offer in the surrounding area throughout the year, including The Green Man festival in May. From Clun, you can also enjoy exploring the historic towns of Bishop's Castle, Presteigne, Ludlow, Shrewsbury, and Hereford, a must for visitors.

Well kitted out in the kitchen. It has a microwave now - not mentioned on Sykes website at the time of our stay. Bed extremely comfortable. Shower hot and powerful. High level of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the building. Wood burner in the lounge is easy to light and control. We stayed in December and the cottage had been tastefully decorated for Christmas. Wish we could have stayed for more than two daysâ¦â¦.

The rooms are a generous size with luxury ensuites. The property has a 4 acre secure field where your dog can run around. Highly recommend.
