Guests consistently praise '13 The Island' for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches, including welcome packs. The hot tub is a highlight, and the property's location is ideal for exploring the Peak District and local attractions. The cottage is well-equipped, providing a cosy and enjoyable stay for families and dog owners.
The majority of reviews highlight the property's spotless condition and cleanliness, with only a single mention of a minor issue regarding cleanliness under the sofas. This suggests that the property is generally maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
The property is appreciated for its quiet location, proximity to the village centre, and easy access to the Peak District and local attractions like Alton Towers. Some guests noted the narrow access lane and potholes, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback on location.
Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with extra touches and well-furnished rooms. Comfortable bedding and a well-equipped kitchen contribute to a pleasant stay. A few suggestions for additional comfort, such as toweling robes and a stepping stone for the hot tub, are noted.
The property boasts a range of facilities including a hot tub, PS4, and a fully equipped kitchen. Maintenance issues are minor, such as the need for bathroom TLC and a new kettle, but these are outweighed by the overall high standard of facilities provided.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with welcome packs for both guests and pets, and proactive communication. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, although common, may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

Tean is a charming village in the English county of Staffordshire, near Alton Towers, south-east of Stoke-on-Trent. The River Tean flows past the settlement on its way to Uttoxeter. The village is made up of two villages: Upper Tean (the larger of the two) and Lower Tean, both of which are part of the Staffordshire Moorlands district's Checkley ward. The surrounding area is largely farming / rural, and it is a short drive into the Peak District's southern edge. There are several bars and businesses, as well as nurseries, a village hall, three churches, and a small park. Stoke on Trent is a little further away, and it has many tourist centres, award-winning museums, real factory tours, over 25 pottery factory stores, and the rare Staffordshire Hoard. Trentham Estate features Italian Gardens, a Shopping Village, a Monkey Forest, and a mile-long lake. The city is less than an hour's drive from Birmingham, Manchester, and Liverpool, and only one and a half hours by train from London Euston.

However the kitchen could do with a new kettle as I had to clean it out 4 5 times as the inside bits kept coming up everytime I filled it up with water. Also cot bedding was not found so we used one of the duvets and let our little one sleep on it inside the cot. The cot bedding in the cupboards was for a single bed and not a travel cot unfortunately. When the recliners were opened underneath the sofas had not been cleaned there was food and dust everywhere and alot of cobwebs in corners so could have done with a deeper clean especially with our kids running around getting in everywhere. Overall a nice stay and break for us.

Me and my family enjoyed our stay.

Itâs really well equipped and had everything we needed including dvds, books, toys for children, lots of kitchen items, nice towels and comfortable bedding. The welcome pack was a bonus. The hot tub was great at the end of the day. Loads to do in surrounding area and also great for Alton Towers visit. Hope to come back to stay here.
