About this property

Field View is a welcoming, detached property resting in the town of Edgmond, offering four bedrooms, pet-friendly accommodation with off-road parking. The property is a homely base for a family or group of friends looking for a base in Shropshire. Park up outside the property and be welcomed into a kitchen/diner with a great selection of amenities to cater to your culinary needs, and a dining table for six, ideal for hearty mealtimes served with a glass of your favourite beverage. The sitting room houses two sofas seating six, where guests can enjoy a movie marathon, warming their feet beside the electric fire. When sleep calls, freshen up in the bathroom with either a warm soak in the tub or a refreshing shower, before cosying up for the night in one of the four bedrooms, choosing between two doubles and two twins. When the sun is shining, make the most of the rear enclosed garden, a lovely spot for alfresco dining. Edgmond is a lovely town with two local pubs, The Lamb only a short walk from the property, and The Edgmond Lion, as well as a convenience store for all of your holiday essentials and is also home to the Harper Adams University. For more shops, pubs, cafés, and restaurants, head over to Newport, and from here you can find the Aqualate Mere National Nature Reserve, an ideal spot for birdwatching. Spend a day in Shrewsbury, where you will find Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings museum and The Quarry, visit Stafford, with its impressive castle, or browse Telford’s shops and walk beside the Iron Bridge. The local area is also home to plenty of delightful walks, including those at the Shropshire Hills AONB and the Cannock Chase AONB. The bustling city of Birmingham is within reach, offering great shopping opportunities, and a wonderful Christmas market in the festive season, and guests can also visit the city of Shropshire. All of this and so much more with a stay at Field View.

Nestled in the borough of Telford and Wrekin, this Shropshire village of Edgmond boasts two pubs, a Methodist chapel and hall, as well as a shop and post office. It is also home to Harper Adams University, The Playing Fields, where they host Sunday cricket games and pub football matches, and the old sandstone quarry known as the 'Rock Hole'. The canal walk is popular among local residents and visitors to the village, and leads down to the town of Newport. On the outskirts of Edgmond, is Chetwynd Deer Park, a beautiful 18th century landscape park with mature trees and vast grassland, now serving as the agricultural showgrounds. The town of Newport boasts a large number of shops lining the high street, as well as a range of pubs and wine bars. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling, with the Millennium walk way and the Sustrans National Cycle Network. Bridgnorth offers a bustling town centre, fascinating castle ruins and walks along the River Severn. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, with a variety of steam and diesel engines making their way through picturesque countryside. Pay a visit to Shrewsbury, discover its fine English heritage bursting from its cobbled streets, and listed buildings. There is a splendid selection of independent and high street shops, along with cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs. Explore its sandstone castle with beautiful gardens, Shrewsbury Abbey and Quarry Park, home to the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show. Attingham Park is also worth a visit for its detailed history, walled gardens and deer park.
