The town boasts many historic buildings including Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, many traditional pubs, excellent restaurants and individual shops, as well as boat hire and cruises along the River Avon. The beautiful National Trust house at Charlecote Park is well worth a visit with its stunning gardens and Capability Brown Deer Park. A few minutes' drive away are Compton Verney and Upton House, both showcasing spectacular collections of paintings and ceramics, whilst set in beautifully landscaped gardens for family friendly days out. The world famous castles at Warwick and Kenilworth are only a 25 minute drive away.
