Guests say

The Cottage in Leeds offers a convenient location for sightseeing and access to local amenities, with guests appreciating its proximity to parks, the High Street, and transport links. While some guests found the property cosy and well-priced, others raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance issues such as a broken TV and uncomfortable beds.

Several reviews mention cleanliness issues, including dirty floors, unflushed toilets, and a general lack of thorough cleaning. These recurring comments suggest a need for improvement in this area.

The location is frequently praised for its convenience to Leeds, Harrogate, and York, as well as being close to a park and railway station, making it ideal for sightseeing and travel.

Guests have reported uncomfortable beds and a lack of space for personal items, which detracts from the overall comfort of the stay. However, some found the property cosy and comfortable.

The property is described as well-equipped and ideal for dogs due to nearby parks. However, issues with a broken TV, slow drainage, and lack of space for food storage indicate room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

However, our stay was marred by a broken TV (the screen was cracked from top to bottom) and this had previously been reported but NOT replaced. Very poor . To add to this, the cottage was grubby. There were crumbs in the toaster, a coffee pod in the Nespresso machine, smeared mirrors throughout, stained pillows and a sheet also and the floors had not been washed. I cleaned the lounge floor myself due to the horrible odour. I strongly feel that the owner or cleaner had changed the sheets and dashed round the bathroom. Sadly, a very disappointing level of cleanliness which is a shame as the cottage is great, well equipped and well placed.

My wife ended up sleeping in the lounge due to our bed and the kids also struggled to sleep well too. The TV is broken so we could not use and the drainage in the bathroom sink is painfully slow and we found lots of hairs in the shower on first use. It was a shame as it is a nice cottage in a very good location but needs a bit of TLC.

Beautiful surroundings and a lovely High Street. Railway Station was also very useful for easy access to visit York and Knaresborough.
