Guests say

Sanderling is a spacious and well-equipped cottage in Scarborough, appreciated for its ample space, welcoming owners, and convenient location. Guests enjoyed the suntrap garden, the proximity to the beach and local amenities, and the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. While some noted the decor is dated and certain areas need updating, the overall cleanliness and comfort were praised, making it a popular choice for large groups and families, including pets.

Most guests found Sanderling to be clean, with fresh towels and toiletries provided. The property's cleanliness was a main priority for visitors, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, a few guests mentioned the need for a deeper clean in some areas.

The location is highly praised for being central, with easy access to both North and South beaches, Peasholm Park, and the town centre. The convenience of the location for exploring Scarborough and the availability of parking enhance the appeal.

Guests were generally satisfied with the comfort provided by Sanderling, noting the ample space and comfortable bedding. The presence of multiple bathrooms and a well-heated house added to the comfort level, although some guests mentioned that certain rooms could be drafty.

The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden, were appreciated. The ongoing renovations show the owners' commitment to improvement, but some guests noted that parts of the property, including some showers and furniture, require attention.

The owners' thoughtfulness was frequently mentioned, with welcome gifts such as wine, treats for both guests and dogs, and even a tuck shop adding to the experience. While these gestures were highly valued, it is noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed.

Which was such a lovely thing to hear when we usually hear don’t let them do this and don’t let them do that at other holiday homes this helped us feel very relaxed as they are dog owners too even though we still covered the furniture with our own blankets. Positives were the space there was so much space enabling us all to have space from each other and also time together no one got under anyone’s feet, the playroom was a hit and thoroughly enjoyed by my 2 year old grandchild but it would benefit from a rug and a decent tv we brought some dvds for it but some would not work

Jackie and Colin were so welcoming, said the dog was welcome. The bedrooms were fab, the shower in our room was fabulous. There were lots of extras ..tea, milk, wine. So much space and we all felt very comfortable. My children said the beds were very comfortable and loved the duvets. It was also very close to both North and South bay. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful family weekend for our parents 60th birthday celebrations. We enjoyed the house very much. The children were thrilled with the play room which we didn't expect and made a lovely surprise, lovely outdoor space. Location was perfect for us. Honestly couldn't have asked for anything more.
