Chapel house has everything you need and more. The road was a little hair raising the first time but we grew to enjoy it and would definitely return. The lemon drizzle cake you left was the icing on the cake - literally! Hopefully will return in the future.

Top situated, cosy and tasteful equipped interiour. All what you needed was there, very complete. Wonderfull surroundings, you could make walks direct from the house, with spectacular views. A lot of birds near the house: among others the goldfinch, great spotted woodpecker and in the evening the sound of the tawny owl. At the other side of the bay we saw a golden eagle! Not to forget to recommend the good restaurant down by the water. Friendly welcome, including a home-made lemon drizzle cake!

Lower Diabaig is absolutely stunning as is Torridon which is a short drive away through the mountain pass. Chapel house has most of the amities you need but I would advise taking extra logs with you during the winter months incase you cannot drive out to buy more. The fridge is a normal under-counter one with a small compartment for a freezer so not a fridge/freezer as we were expecting. Shower is not a walk in but more like a step in. If you are over 6ft you may struggle as my husband did. We didnât miss having a tv one bit. The view is beautiful but you are located near the owners home & another cabin. There are more houses around then you realise so not totally remote. The small track leading to the cabin is rather untidy which can ruin the appearance of the area. Cleanliness of the cabin could have been much better. I understand cobwebs can appear over night but a few of these cobwebs have been there for weeks. Toothbrush holders could do with replacing or having a very good clean. Also shower grouting could do with a deep clean. Toilet brush needs replacing. Wasnât expecting to find boxer shorts in the washing machine from the previous occupants, apologies to them but I did bin the boxer shorts. Fridge needs pulling out for a good clean as does the cooker. Cooker inside could also do with a deep clean. The outside steps leading up on to the cabin walk way could do with a handrail. As does the steps leading down from the car parking area. The cabin is set in a tiny woodland which you cannot walk through due to other properties. Apart from the level of cleanliness we did enjoy our stay for Christmas.
