Guests say

Campbell Cottage in Pitlochry offers a tranquil and picturesque getaway, highly praised for its stunning views, cleanliness, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as biscuits and milk, and the pet-friendly environment. While some guests suggest minor improvements, the overall experience is one of comfort and relaxation amidst beautiful Scottish scenery.

Most guests found the cottage to be very clean and comfortable. However, one review mentioned the bathroom could have been cleaner and another noted stains on a mattress cover, suggesting room for improvement in some areas.

The location is consistently described as beautiful and peaceful, with amazing views and a sense of seclusion. Some guests found the remoteness and the long drive to amenities challenging, but the majority valued the tranquillity and natural setting.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with nice beds and a cosy atmosphere. There were a few comments about the need for updating furniture and better kitchen equipment, indicating that while comfort is high, there is room for enhancement.

The facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped and offering good Wi-Fi. Some guests mentioned a lack of walking areas for dogs and basic kitchen items, suggesting that the facilities could be better tailored to guests' needs.

Several reviews mention thoughtful gestures such as shortbread biscuits, milk, and other essentials provided upon arrival. While these are appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary.

... literally! An upside down house, with stunning views over Loch Rannoch from the small terrace at the end of the lounge area. Extremely comfortable accommodation and quite spacious.

The lovely woodland walk with the dogs was a highlight. Safe secure and unspoilt. Fishing was excellent. Swimming in Loch Rannoch is hugely enjoyable. Rural Scotland at its best. We had a spa morning in the local hotel and a visit to the dewars whisky distillery. The sun shone all week and a wonderful feeling of peace sitting on the balcony looking over the loch

From booking to arrival kept well informed of confirmation, arrival date , directions, things to remember, key code etc. Arrived to find spacious car parking . The cottage was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we'd need during our stay . Including tea ,coffee, milk, yummy highland cow shortbread biscuits ,washing up liquid , sponge ,cloth, tea towel etc . The views over Loch Rannoch were simply stunning. There was clear informative instructions as to how everything in the cottage worked , places to eat and lots of tourist information. We were organised by taking supplies with us as other reviews had stated the local shop wasn't well stocked with fresh produce , however we didn't find this at all . Pitlochry and Aberfeldy were both around 20 miles from the cottage (Pitlochry had a co-op) . Or both Asda and morrisons would deliver to the farm should you require. Our personal experience nothing not to like about the cottage. Peaceful, tranquil, stunning views , pet friendly, good car parking facilities, clean comfortable cottage . We would highly recommend and hope to return.
