Jedburgh was once home to Mary Queen of Scots, in fact her house was just down the hill and round the corner, today it has its own visitors centre which can be enjoyed all year round.  The ruin of the 12th-century abbey is worth a walk round and captivates the imagination, as does the castle and former jail at the top of the hill, which on a clear d. . .
