Settled on the outskirts of Ancrum, Scotland, is this reverse-level holiday home, Teviot View Cottage. Enjoying a historic location in a village which was the setting for the Battle of Ancrum Moor, and set along the River Ale, Teviot View Cottage is a fantastic family-friendly choice for couples, friends, families and their two canine companions. On the ground floor, you will find two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a twin, both of which are served by a well-appointed shower room, ideal for freshening up after an adventure filled day. Head upstairs, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen for whipping up your favourite dishes, ready to enjoy at the dining table for four over a celebratory bottle of fizz. On warmer evenings, why not head out to the rear patio where you can dine alfresco? As the evening grows dark, retreat to the inviting sitting room and relax on the sumptuous seating in front of a much-loved series on the TV. Situated less than eight miles north-west of Jedburgh, Ancrum is a tiny village in the Scottish Borders. Located on the Ale River, this village is famous as the site of the 1545 Battle of Ancrum Moor, which saw Scottish forces successfully repel an English invasion of the Borders and lowlands. One of two prominent monuments in the area, the one at the site of the battle was rebuilt in the nineteenth century. Near Lanton, the other notable site is the Timpendean Tower, the remains of a tower house constructed in the 15th century. The town of Ancrum has a few establishments, including a pub, a shop, a butcher, and a Post Office; the neighbouring town of St. Boswells also has these necessities, and the larger towns of Jedburgh and Kelso, with their shops, cafes, restaurants, and famous abbeys, are well worth a visit.

Owners have thought of everything to make the cottage a relaxing place to be. The welcome pack was outstanding and very much appreciated. Clean and tidy too and the dogs loved the garden area

The cottage was so beautiful garden very secure for our dogs when arrived the owners left so many goodies for us the double bed was very comfortable the cottage was lovely and warm kitchen well equipped even an air fryer which was brilliant only thing as you had to find somewhere to park but nine times out of ten you could park outside the cottage Colin the owner was so helpful and appreciative definitely would go back and recommend to people it's a must stay

The cottage was well kitted out for all our needs and the owner was attentive, generous and hospitable. The village pub was only 100 yards from the cottage, was welcoming and dog friendly and the food was very good. (Closed Mon/Tues). All in all we had a very pleasant stay at Teviot View Cottage.
