Guests say

Sweetpea Cottage is highly praised for its cosy atmosphere, beautiful walled garden, and pet-friendly environment. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the owners and the cottage's peaceful location, ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders. The log burner and ample wood supply are frequently mentioned highlights, contributing to the property's charm and comfort.

The cottage is consistently described as very clean, with only one mention of cleanliness being subpar. This suggests that the property is generally maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is praised for its tranquillity and beautiful surroundings, with easy access to walking routes and nearby towns. The secure garden is a bonus for dog owners. However, one review mentioned difficulties with public transport, which slightly impacts the score.

Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable bed and leather couches. The wood burner adds to the cosy atmosphere. A few guests noted the bedroom size and a humming noise as minor discomforts.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen facilities, a wood burner, and a spacious garden. Some guests experienced intermittent Wi-Fi and mentioned a lack of certain tools for the wood burner, which suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While guests appreciate the provision of DVDs and books, there is no consistent mention of welcome gifts, and as such, it is not possible to accurately score the thoughtfulness based on the reviews provided.

My hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need. I've never stayed in a place so clean, comfortable and well equipped. The cottage is joined on to Danny and Claire's house. They are lovely friendly people but just let you get on with it. There's a big garden which is a bonus with a dog. Really loved my stay.

The cottage had everything we needed. The huge enclosed garden was ideal for our 2 Labradors. We’d certainly recommend

Clean, tidy and practical. Our furry friend loved the freedom of the large enclosed garden and we loved the peace and quiet. Plenty of things to see and do near and further afield. Danny is an amazing host and on hand if needed. Thank you and highly recommend.
