Guests say

116 Woodpecker Lodge in New Quay is praised for its peaceful setting and immaculate site, with a central location convenient for exploring the Ceredigion coastline. Guests appreciate the spacious living areas, large decking, and secure environment, especially for those with children or pets. While some furnishings and kitchenware may need updating, the lodge's comfort and cleanliness generally meet expectations.

Reviews indicate a generally high standard of cleanliness, with mentions of immaculate bedding and bathroom facilities. However, some guests noted issues with dust, dirty outdoor furniture, and kitchenware, suggesting room for improvement.

The lodge's location is highly regarded, with its proximity to beaches, New Quay town, and the overall tranquillity of the site, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, with lovely furnishings and a relaxing decking area. Some concerns were raised about worn patio furniture, but the secure and sunlit decking is a highlight.

The site is complimented for its cleanliness and waste facilities. However, feedback on maintenance issues with shower doors, vacuum cleaners, and the closure of the clubhouse suggests that the facilities and maintenance could be better managed.

There is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, therefore it is not possible to assess this category.

Sealant around shower tray looks like it needs to be replaced. Slight tear in bed quilt cover. WiFi took a while to set up but when connected speed wasn’t very good so used own mobile data. Catch on outside gate hard to close also woodpecker sign on gate cracked. Outside storage shed hinges broken and not secured so was moving around during high winds. Seal in washing machine requires cleaning. Stain on one of the single beds (didn’t bother us as we didn’t need to use those beds) Water stains on flip top bathroom bin also papers left inside. But otherwise the stay was lovely we think just think the cleaners need to take more time when cleaning or possibly new cleaners.

Little bit disappointed with the outdoor furniture. Could be replaced. The only draw back was the club house was closed all week so had to drive to a pub to have a drink. The site itself is beautiful and found it spotless.

We didn't use the shop or bar but both looked really nice. Good recycling and waste facilities. Everyone on the site were really friendly. Great for dogs.
