Guests say

Harbour View is a well-appreciated cottage in Conwy, praised for its superb location and comfortable amenities. Guests enjoy the picturesque views and find it a convenient base for exploring North Wales. The property is generally well-maintained and equipped, though some guests suggest minor improvements.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with a few noting areas that could be improved. The presence of cobwebs and dirty spots under furniture were mentioned, suggesting occasional oversights in cleaning.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to local attractions, the town, and the quayside. The scenic views and ease of access to Conwy and surrounding areas are consistently noted as highlights.

Guests find the beds and sofas comfortable, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, the absence of a TV in the master bedroom and some concerns about parking space availability slightly affected the comfort level for some.

The property is described as well-equipped, but several reviews mention missing information packs, issues with Wi-Fi, and maintenance needs like dishwasher repair and missing shower heads. These factors indicate room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While some guests mentioned the lack of a welcome pack and suggested it would be a thoughtful addition, there is not enough consistent feedback on gifts or additional thoughtful touches to accurately score this category.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is unquestionably well-known around the world for its historical and architectural legacy, yet the centre of the town is a hive of busy activity. There are numerous specialised stores, eateries, and motels in addition to its traditional festivals and fairs, musical performances, galleries, and tourist attractions. Conwy Castle, which was constructed for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, is still regarded as one of the finest examples of mediaeval military construction. The castle's unusual, elongated shape—complete with two barbicans, eight enormous towers, and a large bow-shaped hall—was likely influenced by the castle's location on a small rocky outcrop. The Gwledd Conwy Feast, the Honey Fair, the Seed Fair, and other yearly festivals, events, and fairs, as well as other musical occasions throughout the year, are just a few of the town's many annual celebrations of its historical traditions, which it is pleased to uphold. Conwy is the ideal starting point for exploring the stunning Snowdonia National Park, strolling along undeveloped sandy beaches, or taking in the breathtaking nature right outside your door. The Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which have the longest zip line in Europe, are also close by, while Surf Snowdonia is only six miles distant.

It is fully equipped and the beds are really comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others.

It’s easy to find. The situation right on the harbour side is wonderful. Within easy travelling distance of great coastal walks, National Trust sites and RSPB reserves, one walkable from the cottage. Good quality Indian, Fish and Chips and Pizza takeaways only minutes from the door but ample equipment for cooking in the cottage. The main bed is spacious and comfortable. Parking is tight but we didn’t have any problem. The neighbours were helpful. Altogether an excellent stay.

Parking is an issue & very tight - if all cottages are occupied, you would easily be blocked in. Disappointed there was not guest book for recommendations in the area, and no welcome pack or even a pint of milk for a cuppa on arrival which is usually standard in holiday rentals. The cottage itself could have been cleaner, and simple maintenance like the missing shower heads in both bathrooms & ill fitting toilet seats, not exactly the ‘luxury’ it’s advertised as. Has the potential to be a great place, just needs a little spruce!
