Guests say

Hen Bopty is a charming and well-equipped cottage praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and location. Guests enjoyed the proximity to the beach and local amenities, as well as the cosy atmosphere. While some guests reported maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns, the majority found it to be a delightful stay with thoughtful touches like Welsh cakes.

Most guests found Hen Bopty clean and well-presented, with a few noting it as 'immaculate'. However, some guests reported cleanliness issues such as dust, cobwebs, and a smell of damp, which suggests room for improvement.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to the beach, and scenic walks. It is described as idyllic and peaceful, with easy access to local attractions, though one review mentioned it being opposite a school, which could affect the quietness during school times.

Guests frequently complimented the comfort of the beds and the cosy feel of the cottage. The private garden and homely touches contributed to a comfortable stay, despite a few reports of a damp smell and heating issues.

The cottage is generally well-equipped, with guests appreciating the kitchen and additional extras. However, there were several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken stool, loose bench leg, and problems with the heating system, indicating a need for better upkeep.

While guests mentioned thoughtful gestures like Welsh cakes, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or additional thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. Therefore, it is important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

The cottage is extremely well equipped with all the comforts of home and more. Great location for touring around the area and the local facilities such as the Grill Bar, the Golf Club, convenience store and the fish and chip shop are all within 5 mins walk from Hen Bopty . The beach is amazing and our Springer Spaniel Charlie enjoyed it all as did we. We would definitely recommend to others. Carole & Adrian

Close to the beach and little railway station. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hen Bopty. Thank you.

The only thing missing were big baking trays (for pizza etc). There were also quite a few unwelcome visitors - long wriggly crawlies - possibly from under Bath But that aside we would heartily recommend the cottage. Thank you!
