Filled with character and charm, this delightful Bowland cottage provides the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy this fabulous area. Set on the gable end of the original farmhouse, this cosy cottage features a welcoming open-plan living room with a stunning woodburner, a delightful picture window and exposed stonework adding a real sense of charm. Upstairs, the double bedroom offers a refreshing en-suite shower room, pretty countryside views and superb romantic styling. Outside, there is a lovely sitting area and shared use of the extended gardens, including a beautiful brook providing delightful background noise. This is a perfect location for relaxing after a hard day out on the local fells. The area surrounding your cottage is wonderful for walking and cycling, with lovely footpaths from the doorstep. Gisburn's mountain bike trails are just 15 minutes away, while a number of first-class dining inns can be found within a few miles. Your Bowland cottage lies within the Forest of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, whilst the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is within easy reach. The Yorkshire Dales village of Bolton-by-Bowland is in the Ribble Valley and has a shop, two pubs serving food and a tea room. Everything was provided for in the cottage including wood and firelighters for that cosy end to the evening as it did get chilly at night.

The owners were very friendly, helpful and lived in the adjoing building and allowed us to use their really beautiful lamdscaped garden for relaxation. Although it was at the end of a single track road it was easy t navigate and placed within easy reach of the Ribble Valley, Clitheroe, Bolton By Bowland (Part of the Trough of Bowland) and many lovely villages, pubs that served great food and excellent walking country.
