What our customers say about their holidays
Anthony - Verified booking
This barn is secluded and peaceful,it has everything you need for a quite relaxing break, it is literally home from home, all you need is food.
We did find that the water was different from our water up north/Manchester and it left a slimy residue in our black tea but it was still fine to drink,we decided to buy bottled water for our cups of tea. Their are 3 good size bedrooms, the shower in the bathroom have great water pressure and are lovely and hot,all towels and bedding are provided, the barn has underfloor heating in the kitchen which is constantly on and it also has full central heating. The upstairs living room has enough seating for 6 people. Our only faults were the tap on the sink in the upstairs bathroom is extremely noisy when turned on which could easily wake people up in the bedrooms either side, the floors upstairs do creak slot when walking about and as the bedroom downstairs is directly below the upstairs bedroom, you can hear people walking about in the night,we also had an infestation of ladybirds on the bedroom windows in both bedrooms, probably around 80 ladybirds on one single window in both bedrooms. We managed to stop them in the upstairs bedroom by putting tissue over the window vents but we couldn't pinpoint where they were getting into the downstairs bedroom. Overall this barn is a lovely place to stay with a little village 10 minutes down the rd with a small shop and pub. Everyone is also extremely friendly. Charles the owner gave us a phone call on our 1st night asking if we had settled in ok,which I found very nice. I would rate our stay in this barn at 9 out of 10

Really lovely, comfortable cottage.
Great location to explore the local area and a really comprehensive guidebook provided by the owner with lovely photos, recommendations of places to eat, local village guides and suggestions for trips out. We particularly enjoyed a trip to Woodall Spa followed by a drive to Sutton on Sea for fish and chips. We were a little taken aback by the layout of the cottage - the lack of internal access (although the walkway was covered) to one of the bedrooms and bathrooms was a surprise. This probably needs mentioning in the listing as this would not be suitable for everyone, especially those with younger children. The cottage was lovely and clean and well maintained although there were lots of flies upstairs and hundreds of ladybirds around all the window frames on arrival. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well stocked with crockery and glassware. Bedrooms were comfortable and plenty of towels were left. The owner rang the day after we arrived to check we had everything we needed. Although dogs are welcome at this property, they arenât allowed into the sitting room which is upstairs. The owner informed us of this after we arrived and again, I feel this needs mentioning on the website as it wouldnât suit everybody to leave the dog alone in the kitchen. Overall, a really comfortable stay in an area we will definitely return to.

10/10 A little gem, a beautiful property in rural Lincolnshire with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Surrounded by nature and the most beautiful scenery. The Chapel is surprisingly spacious. It was very clean, modern, warm and well decorated. The hosts Karen and Paul were friendly, accommodating, contactable and just couldnât do enough for you, they really put a lot of care and effort into making the Chapel the best experience possible. Special touches like the lovely lemon cake were very much appreciated and enjoyed. We had 3 children and a dog with us and they were all catered for so well. The dog even had a welcome package of his own. We stayed in December and the house was decorated for Christmas and hot chocolate and marshmallow cones were made up for the children. The garden is fully enclosed I donât think it shows in the pictures but there is a mesh along the fence so no need to worry about any escapees. Whilst there we visited historic Lincoln Castle and cathedral and took a walk up steep hill, we visited the new aquarium and dinosaur falls in Skegness, We took a trip to Donna Nook to see the seals and their pups and then to Spalding Baytree winter wonderland to visit Father Christmas and the Springfield shopping village â¦all well worth a visit . A wonderful stay and we will definitely book again. Thank you Karen and Paul

When we arrived we were shown around and I have to say there was Prosecco waiting for us but unfortunately we were on a working holiday and couldnât drink it but a lovely gesture.
The cottage was well equipped with everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable, we had taken 3 sister on holiday that all had different needs and there was plenty of space to move around, there was even games in the cupboard for them to play, lots of dvds and some outdoor games that they played with too. There was 2 pints of milk, chocolate bars, tea, coffee, sugar on our arrival, all washing detergents were provided also, it really was home from home for the sisters, they enjoyed it that much they want to go for 2 weeks next time. All the beds were comfy and clean all 3 sisters slept very well, there were towels provided for every person. We had no problems it was a very smooth booking and communication process, myself and the other support worker found this cottage was ideal for the 3 sister and the area was beautiful the village shops were friendly to us, there was some lovely walks too. This cottage is for all ages I would say but if you have little ones itâs near a main road but the garden is closed in round the back which is perfect. This gets the best rating possible from us all as the cottage is beautiful. Looking forward to next year already :)

In Dec'23 'Alan' commented: "hot water system needs looking at as struggled to get hot water through but generally overall was ok.
" The owner replied: "Thank you for the feedback this will help us move forward on whats needed as we built our holiday home." - June '24 hot water STILL Needs looking at. Furniture uncomfortable and too low. Better off sitting on the floor. Windows dirty. Decking slippery when wet - very slippery. I almost slipped once but I'd learned my lesson from one of my dogs who did slip. He pulled out a paw nail and cracked another and I took extra special care. I guess the owner will have this looked at too, just like the hot water. I'll never know, I won't be back. I'll pitch a tent in the back garden first. Because of the dog's injury we left half-way through the holiday. Couldn't get him into the car. Couldn't get him out of the car, he was in too much pain. As to the area - a dump. Great if you like to spend your time boozing or playing bingo. But to take the dogs out... Hell will probably freeze over before the beach gets a Blue Flag. I could go on but I think prospective guests will get the message. BTW, could never find an owner's representative.
