  Furniture and kitchen equipment was of a very good standard.

  All rooms very clean and a very nice welcome pack provided. Beds were very comfortable. Only thing stopping us giving five stars was the size of the lounge. As we were only three adults there was enough room for us to watch tv in the evening (Euros!) but as the accommodation is for six cannot see how they would all fit in. If the table tennis room could be converted it would be perfect. Great location for getting out to coast etc. Good places to eat locally. We did all "miss" the steep step at the front door after we had unpacked. Unexpected and perhaps could be added to property description.

  We stayed in Riverside Chapel with our two teenage children last week and had a wonderful holiday in Great Ayton.

  The house was beautifully decorated and a had really luxurious and comfortable feeling about it. It was a great location, within walking distance from Roseberry Topping and some really nice pubs and cafes. We recommend The Poor House for pizza, which is 5 minutes walk from the house, as well as The Royal Oak, which is just next to the village Green. Our two really appreciated the table tennis room and we had some great matches as a family! A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

  Fantastic cottage and location.

  We ran and walked everyday for 15 miles plus. Stokesley has some nice pubs, cafes and shops plus restaurants to choose from. Roseberry topping and Captain Cook's monument are great walks, as is Lordstone cafe. We stopped at G and Tea a few times walking to the Buck at Great Ayton. YThai was amazing food and the Spread Eagle and White Swan were the best pubs for beer and meeting the locals. The cottage had parking right outside and was a good base for the area. We will definitely be back again

  An absolutely fabulous property, beautifully decorated, loved the kitchen and the quality of knives and utensils etc.

  everything that you needed was there. Lamp in the lounge would have be perfect so you can snuggle without the big lights. So many throws and blankets is a great touch. The vast glass in the bedrooms often meant light coming through from the hall or other rooms at times. Don’t think there is a way to make them completely dark though! Wonderful stay and great base for exploring

  A beautiful property in a lovely setting.

  The cottage was really nicely decorated and comfortable, it was spotlessly clean and tidy, both inside and outside. Just a moment’s walk from all the town has to offer, but in a lovely quiet spot overlooking the green. Everything was perfect and the welcome hamper was really much appreciated, by us and our dog. The only thing missing that would be helpful is a full length mirror.
