  Thank you for a lovely stay! The welcome hamper was a really nice gesture and the scones were so yummy. Rooms were really comfortable and we had everything that we could need. Such a great base for exploring the coast and what a great view! I’d recommend both Lord Crew & Castle Inn for afternoon tea – dog friendly too! Great walk to Seahouses along the beach and interesting to visit Bamburgh Castle. Holy Island well worth a visit but Lindisfarne currently being renovated and has nothing in it which was a bit disappointing. Alnwick Gardens were fabulous and i can imagine the grounds would be beautiful in the summer. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit the castle – but we will definitely be back with Coquet Cottages soon too experience it then! We will definitely be back.

  We have had a wonderful week at the Lodge, the owners really care about making your stay as comfortable as possible and nothing seems to be forgotten.

  The lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need to make a home from home, the beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, the fixtures and fittings are modern and high quality, and furnishings are stylish and cosy. A lovely welcome pack awaited us. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Perfect! We were blessed with sunny autumn weather which showed off the glorious Northumberland countryside to its colourful best, especially for long walks around Cragside and Wallington, and we had some lovely visits to the amazing beaches at Bamburgh and Druridge which are recommended especially if you have your dog with you as we did - she loved it! Thank you Gary and Tracey -we hope to be back.

  The place was so equipt and had everything we needed and more and cannot fault the place.

  The beds were super comfy! However, unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to the lodge due to potentially the type of detergent used for the bedding, little dusty in places etc. Maybe you guys could use a product that is for all types of skin. Also the wifi didn’t work so we had to use our phone data which wasn’t a problem as we were only there for a relaxing get-away. However, apologises this was not the owners fault at all, but the caravan nearby were having a party (no worries - everyone lives their best life) but because they had their music blasting until after 1am it was a rather sleepless night rather than relaxing. Nonetheless, superb lodge, and would recommend it.

  After a long drive, the feel and style of the accommodation was very comfortable. Everything we needed for a couple and their dogs was in this cottage; well stocked kitchen, clean and tidy home, quiet and secluded and enclosed garden. Netflix account was a bonus! The warmth of the place was just what we needed. There are many long but easy walks either to Bamburgh or Beadnell, and there is 1 hour free parking in Beadnell which allows for a nice stroll along the bay. Thank you for the luxury hampers (for both humans and dogs!), a very nice touch. We hope to return.

  A lovely cottage in the heart of Bamburgh village. Booked online with Coquet Cottages but needed to speak to staff on a couple of occasions who were lovely and really helpful – great customer service. Cottage had absolutely everything we needed – nice welcome pack, spotlessly clean and amazing views of the castle from the upstairs rooms. The weather was fantastic so we spent most of the time in enclosed yard which the dog loved. There was a wood pigeon nesting the lilac tree with two chicks. It was the most perfect week.
