What our customers say about their holidays
Rodney - Verified booking
Friendly staff who did try to be of assistance.
However the âCompanyâ promotional description of the âLodgeâ in particular the location is misleading and not as we expected. There were a number of cosmetic issues with the Lodge, also a window difficult to open and patio door difficult to close and in particular to lock. This was mentioned to reception who confirmed there had been a problem with locking but had supposedly been rectified. The main TV was not working on day of arrival necessitating maintenance call out. Was eventually fixed but only after 3 days. Bedroom TV positioned in front of dressing table mirror, not above as shown in promotional photos. Furniture, only small settee and one chair, not fully furnished as shown in photos of Lodge. Welcome pack didnât have tea coffee sugar washing up liquid as was described. Did receive washing up liquid on request. Location states Lodge perched at costal village of Little Haven. Not so, Little Haven 1.8 miles drive away. To walk to Little Haven at least 45 minutes which is not recommended as walking along single track lanes with potential hazardous traffic conditions. Promotional description of property includes local bakery, farm shop and club on adjacent site serving meals. There is no actual bakery or farm shop on site. Remote contact possible by phone to order subject to availability Club only serves meals on weekend evenings. Not open during day. Having due regard to the promotional information and description, overall we were disappointed with the accommodation and in particular location which does not give us any incentive to want to return Rodney & Audrey Hall

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW! Looking out over the harbour. Past reviews state that you are on street level and people look in! An understatement - it's like you're sitting in the street itself - as if you're sitting an outside restaurant table - it's that level of visibility! Unlike a restaurant table on the pedestrian, there is glass etc but it's as if they're not there! But I LOVED IT. I'm from London and people in Tenby - tourists and otherwise are SO DEEPLY kind and friendly and respectful. It's refreshing. Therefore I loved the view and the chance to interact with some whose eye you catch when I'm inside putting my feet up for a while and enjoying the view. There's a curtain you can pull for privacy. It was a cute stay. I had two dogs with me and we could go across the road for this bit of beautiful greenery for them to do their business. This little cottage has so many things you can entertain yourself with! Puzzles, books, binoculars etc. They've been so considerate in leaving things and thinking of everything you might want or need. There's adequate heating etc. So it's perfectly comfortable. It's not the most pristine - think more someone's quaint little home. So bringing in sand from the beaches doesn't make you feel guilty. It was such a sweet stay and I'd like to thank the owners.

This was our second stay since last year.
( We enjoyed it so much that we booked again as soon as we got back.) The peace we get from staying here is second to none. Each morning we get up to fresh boiled eggs then go off exploring. Sometimes weâve thought Wales was closed because we seemed to be the only ones on the roads driving! The people are friendly and smiley. The beaches are wonderful. The views are outstanding. We even enjoyed the 20 mph speed limit at times because it gave us a chance to be nosey at the passing houses etc! Iâve read some of the reviews and must say none of the negative ones apply when weâve stayed here. The bed is ultra comfy. We sleep so well here in the quiet and darkness. The wrap around garden is dog friendly and you can watch the sun set and rise. The dipping swifts and bird sounds along with the occasional sheep, cattle and chickens all make for a relaxing stay also. I even heard an owl- not having heard one since childhood. The cottage was clean and so were the utensils etc. The sheets are spotless as are the white towels. Every thing you need for a stay is here. If you expect never to find a cobweb or a spec of dust then I suggest you donât book to stay in a cottage that is a converted barn in the middle of a field! Thank you Diane and family for looking after us so well.

This is a beautifully situated and furnished cottage.
With high end, modern furnishings. It is in walking distance to the shops, restaurants and white, sandy beach. Although there is resident, permit only parking outside the cottage, there is a charity run car park across the road. The owners have left a very effective users manual for all the electrical appliances in the cottage, including the heating and water. We did find this very helpful. However, we would say if you have any mobility issues this may not be the best choice of cottages for you as there are three small flights of stairs and the bathroom step is rather steep. We also found very steep steps out the back to a high garden, which was lovely and the scenery was beautiful, but not easily accessible especially if you have a dog. Broad haven is a beautiful, coastal retreat with stunning surrounding countryside. Definitely a place we would like to visit again. We do think that if this cottage made one or two alterations it would be one of the best to stay in.

Hi we arrived at the lodge and we had a problem after the first night the door ...
Hi we arrived at the lodge and we had a problem after the first night the door holder had pulled the window out as it had been attached to the window frame so I reported it straight away and the site upgraded us to a fantastic lodge which was very nice of them the only bad bit of feedback I can give is that the hot tub wasnât checked like it should of been and after 3 days it was very cloudy and dirty looking it put me off going in it and putting the kids in so we only had 3 days in the tub which was disappointing in a way it was my fault aswel for it saying anything I just didnât want to complain anymore and be that guy moaning about everything but to be honest I didnât see the tub get checked at all while we was there and I know they should be checked at minimum once a day because of this Iâm going to give 4 star and not 5 but we did appreciate the upgrade very much and it is a really nice peaceful site but maybe just up there game on checking there hot tubs
