Settle down with a coffee into a lovely sitting room, featuring a TV, selection of stylish sofas, homely décor and a beautiful arched full-length window with a glass door, leading out onto an enclosed courtyard where you can relax with a glass of your favourite beverage in an evening. The attractive and historic market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a fabulous (and enormous) treehouse, a delightful rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films! The town's narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stage coach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.

The furnishings and rooms were clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable bathroom very good. Everything was catered for beautifully and nice and warm.The garden for the first time was very very secure and I did not worry about the fencing it was solid and high with no gaps. We were close to shops and restaurants and had the perfect base to visit all the local attractions. We had a great time. Also a special thanks to Chris for being so welcoming.

Cottage was comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Welcome pack was great, and the neighbours very friendly and helpful. Only improvement would be a stair gate to keep the dogs downstairs, and improved signposting / explanation of the correct set of bins for the cottage.

The accommodation its self was very clean and was perfect for us especially having dogs with us as it had a great sized garden. Thank you
