Your dog will love a cottage holiday in Truro
The pretty city of Truro is a great place for a short break or as a base for a longer holiday. As well as being packed with historical buildings like the cathedral, it's super-friendly for dogs, and just a stone's thrown from some of Cornwall's best-loved beaches. There are lots of parks and countryside walks too, and our dog-friendly holiday cottages in Truro are the perfect place to start and finish your day's adventures.
Dog-friendly things to do
Sample some Cyder
Head to Healey's Cyder Farm to enjoy seeing how they create the most Cornish of tipples, including the famous Cornish Rattler. Dogs can go everywhere on a lead, except for the production areas.
Gardens and Parks
Trelissick Gardens are well worth a visit, and dogs are welcome to enjoy the miles of woodland walks and parkland. Nearby Trilithon is lovely too, but your pooch will have to stay on a lead when he visits with you.
Beautiful beaches
This area has several restriction-free beaches for you and your dog to enjoy. Pendower is just four miles east of Truro and has a mile of sand to run around on, while the sand and shingle shores of Towan are just half an hour's drive away. Falmouth is a short drive away and a great day out for you with your pooch.
