  Perfect location - so handy for beach, restaurants, bars, shops and the historic sites. Loved the yard - a real morning sun trap to have your coffee, beautiful roses and very private and secure. Very useful info in folder with tips on house and surrounding area. Parking inside yard took a couple of attempts - but that is just my parking skills! Was happier parking outside yard up against gates using the scratchcards provided. Kitchen very well equipped. Bathroom very modern, great powerful shower and the bath was lovely - very deep and great to relax in. Rooms large and house spacious in general with high ceilings. When we did have a slight problem the owners / agency response was very rapid and it was sorted efficiently. Beach hut was a real added bonus which we used regularly and loved - very well equipped and good convenient location - take lots of fresh water with you. Really loved this house - the location was ideal.

  We absolutely loved the property. It is very well equipped and well presented. Slight issues with bed sheets. Hard bits of plastic stuck on sheets ? a laundry issue. The house is in a great location but with that comes the challenge of parking. We parked on the Street behind the house and used parking permits as advised. Our car was seriously damaged by what I suspect are local residents. The car had to be written off by the insurance company. It was smashed with a hammer and then covered in baked beans yoghurt carrots and chocolate powder. Not the MO of passing youths that are up to mischief. Police informed. There had been previous case. Sadly we contacted the booking company and owners and have not received any response from either party.

  Property is very well equipped for 8 guests, the kitchen has everything you need and more. Everything is lovely and modern but still retaining character. The bottle of bubbly left by the owners was such a lovely touch. We had a fantastic family stay and loved the little sun trap seating to the front of the property. My only gripe would be that we were there for 4 days and only 2 '2 day' parking scratch cards were left. This would be fine for a smaller family who use one car, but we had 2 cars with us. As a property that sleeps 8 we would ask the owner to consider leaving more scratch cards when the larger bookings are taking place.

  We loved the location of the cottage and it was well equipped. There was some evidence of other dogs staying there previously - dog hairs etc. our dogs are poodles and have fur rather than hair so don’t shed. One of the settees in the main lounge was in need of repair as it appeared that the bracket in the centre had either come loose or broken - the upshot was that we could not use it. The message inside the cottage invited us to enjoy the fizz that had been left but we hadn’t been left any sparkling wine. However there was a bottle of white wine in the fridge. Small issues but I wanted to give detailed and honest feedback.

  The property is in a great location.

  The facilities are great, everything you need and more! The cottage was very clean and the decor, soft furnishings, bedding etc were all of a high standard. The only thing we were disappointed with was the size of the kitchen. The large table & chairs (big enough to seat 8 people) takes up too much space, especially when you've got several people moving around in the kitchen. It would be better if the table & chairs were moved to the large spacious living room in my opinion. Apart from that we couldn't fault anything else and would recommend the property for people looking to explore the Whitby area.
