For the daredevils in the party, there's even the opportunity to zipwire across the whole complex! Flambards Village is an excellent day out, packed with rides, slides and exhibits, while Newquay Zoo is the award-winning home to over 130 different species of animal.

While you're there, a visit to St Nectans Glen Waterfall in Tintagel ought to be on the cards. As far as romance goes, it ticks all the right boxes - ivy-entwined trees, a glittering river and a wonderful waterfall. St Michael's Mount is another spectacular location - while it's possible to get there by boat, wait until the tide goes out and a path is revealed in the sea bed – a path that was once trod by a legendary giant.
