What our customers say about their holidays

We really loved this little cottage it was great for us and our dog.
The property itself was clean and comfortable with spectacular views over the surrounding mountains. Inside was small but adequate the conservatory, a nice addition, was a great place to dry off towels and wet weather gear. The wifi was ok a little slow at times but adequate for us. Paul welcomed us and was on hand if we needed anything without being intrusive. We came for the walking and that did not disappoint. Cwm Pennant is relatively quiet and the walks are not that well defined, fine if you are experienced but not for the faint hearted. Moel yr Ogof and Moel Hebog are easily attainable from the cottage but are quiet strenuous if you want to do a round route. There is a smashing river pool on the way up the valley great for a quick invigorating swim! The seaside is also within easy reach on a hot day. As usual the weather was mixed we had a couple of wet days but also some lovely hot days. Great place, great location would definitely recommend and stay again.

Perfect in every way!
I booked this cottage without paying much attention to where, in Wales, it was! My main priority was having an enclosed garden in a place we could relax in and take our two dogs. Coed y Glyn proved to be this.. and so much more. Set in beautiful countryside with a warm village feel, we enjoyed it all immensely and Llanuwchylin station was amazing - like stepping back in time. Definitely worth booking a trip up to Bala. The village also has a lovely pub, y Eagle, with fabulous food which also served as a village shop. The staff were lovely and helpful when we initially couldnât find anywhere to sit (booking strongly recommended) The cottage itself is warm, comfy and very well fitted out. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not that we needed anything, but we felt we could just âaskâ at any time. Sadly our 4 day visit was over too quickly so we will just HAVE to return.

We really enjoyed our stay and exploring the area.
The cottage location couldnât be much better for the local amenities and the parking arrangements were convenient considering how close the property was to town. The living area and kitchen were great for our needs and aligned to expectations. The main bedroom was fine with plenty of storage albeit the wardrobe could appreciate a little maintenance. The main bedroom is on the front of the house but very quiet at night albeit a short walk from town. My friend was staying in the second bedroom so canât really comment on this. The bathroom was functional but could benefit from updating in some areas particularly the sink area. Overall a great few days in a beautiful area and look forward to staying in the region again.

We had a lovely stay, despite the awful weather for July.
Lovely furniture for sitting outside when able. Great views from the conservatory. There is parking for the two other properties in the shared grounds. The cottage is attached to another and noise/voices can be heard through the wall, though minimal. There is a public footpath through the grounds though again minimal. Guess this would be used more in better weather. The property is located 3.5 miles from the main A487 along narrow lanes so expect to have to reverse up. You will lose signal when you turn off the main road but once at the cottage the WiFi is fine. We had a good break here and would return.

The cottage is in a terrific location, right in the main bit of Dolgellau.
There is a super restaurant, 'Y Sospan', a short walk away. The cottage is compact and easy to manage. The cottage owner provided a parking permit which we were able to use at some other locations too (but do check on the sheet provided as some are pay-and-display). The large car park on the entrance road to Dolgellau is pay-and-display, but the residents' parking area is BEHIND that car park (carry on down the narrow road) in front of the town's rugby club. This is a much better the trying to park outside the cottage (and it is only a couple of minutes' walk). We were very pleased with our stay.
