Guests say

Guests consistently praise the beautifully converted Ysgoldy Brynwyre for its high standard of refurbishment, spaciousness, and tasteful furnishings. The tranquil, remote setting offers stunning views and proximity to local attractions. Comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen enhance the stay, though some guests note the garden isn't fully enclosed as described.

The property is frequently described as clean and spotless, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. One mention of a cleaning mix-up, quickly resolved, does not detract significantly from the overall impression of a well-maintained property.

The location is appreciated for its tranquillity and beautiful views, with good access to local towns and beaches. The remote nature and narrow access road are noted, but these aspects contribute to the property's peaceful character.

Reviewers find the beds very comfortable and the property cosy, with a log burner adding to the comfort. The spaciousness of the rooms is also a contributing factor to the overall comfort experienced by guests.

The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests are pleased with the facilities provided. However, there are several mentions of the garden not being enclosed and the grass needing maintenance, which suggests room for improvement in outdoor facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner towards the guests. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Further afield, you’ll find Aberystwyth, where you can delight in a relaxing ride and exceptional views aboard the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway, tour the Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum, spend a day at Aberystwyth Beach, soak up the views for 12-miles of rich countryside courtesy of the Vale of Rheidol Railway, visit the fascinating Aberystwyth Castle Grounds, or test out your swing at the excellent Aberystwyth Golf Club. All this and more awaits at Ysgoldy Brynwyre.

Llanrhystud is a picturesque West Wales village where the rivers Carrog, Wyre, and Wyre Fach converge before emptying into the sea. The area around St. Rhystud's Church, a church on the National Register of Historic Places, has been designated as a conservation area, and the community now boasts both scenic rural vistas and a shingle beach. The beautiful Cardigan Bay can be seen from Llanrhystud beach, which is perfect for swimming and other water activities. If you don't feel like cooking, you can get everything you need at the gas station/convenience store nearby, or you may eat at the pub, which serves traditional fare. On a sunny day, you may play a round of golf at the nearby 18-hole facility, while nearby riding stables and a farm park offer activities for kids of all ages. Aberaeron, a delightful Georgian fishing town which still retains its character and charm, can be reached via the Wales Coastal Path, which passes through the village, and provides a fantastic way to experience the rugged coastline of Wales, with stops at other coastal villages along the way, such as the opportunity to take a boat trip to see the glorious landscape from the coast and discover Cardigan Bay's marine life before settling in at one of the many restaurants.

The accommodation was stunning. It is not often that places live up to the photos, here really did! The surrounding area was beautiful with plenty of places to visit within 30minute drive. I am going to miss seeing sheep out the bedroom window in the morning!!

The owner made contact prior to our visit to extend any support on arrival if required. The location of the property was excellent and offered great privacy. Lovel rural setting which we would not hesitate to visit again in the coming year.
