What our customers say about their holidays

The garden is splendid for dogs, large and fully enclosed.
The cottage was spotless with not a speck of dust anywhere. The cottage is small and old but the space has been used well, the kitchen/dining area is compact which the photos give the illusion of being bigger. The lounge has comfortable furniture, and a lovely fireplace, there is a useful baby gate at the bottom of the stairs as these lead directly into the bedroom (no door) The downstairs bathroom is spacious, the shower temperature is difficult to control, perhaps due to water pressure. Disappointing that the only views to the garden are from the extension at the rear, lounge, kitchen and bedrooms only have the road view. The arrival time of 5pm which I thought was set by the agents, apparently this is set by the owner, she would not allow an earlier arrival, even though departure is 9am. The owners live in the farm across the way they never came across to welcome or introduce themselves which surprised us.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting with a great enclosed garden, perfect for dogs.
The cottage was warm and welcoming when we arrived on a chilly afternoon. Comfortable sitting room and bedrooms, excellent bed. Plenty of logs for the wood burning stove. It has been so wet this winter that I asked whether it would be possible to have a hosepipe on the outdoor tap to wash the dog before he went indoors and Jason kindly organised this - it was very useful given the mud! The porch and tiled floors allowed us to dry ourselves and dogs before going into the living room. Such a good arrangement. A couple of minor points. A poker would be useful, and some pot lids! They were all missing. We loved the cottage and it is in a brilliant place to go walking, both straight from the garden gate and to beautiful walks quite nearby, like Bury Ditches, Long Mynd etc. The White Horse at Clun does great food too.

A mixed review from us.
The barn, the view, the cleanliness and equipment provided were absolutely excellent! The hot tub was a lovely bonus! However, there are some negatives from our experience. The flies in the house were an absolute nuisance! Despite keeping everything crumb free they were still everywhere! I know it is near farmland, etc. But it was still not nice. The other negative is how the patio seating area has been done. There is a fence between the next rental barn but if both families are enjoying the seating or hot tub there is very little privacy and if you are unlucky enough to get loud neighbours it isnât pleasant sharing a small space. Sorry for the negatives because overall we had a fantastic and relaxing time and the barn is stunning.

What a fabulous place this is.
So beautifully done, nicely furnished and tasteful decor. The underfloor heating, for those not lucky enough to have it in their own home, is such a luxury and meant the barn was comfortably warm all the time. The hot tub really sold it to us, sitting out under the stars contemplating the universe - what a way to spend an evening. You canât beat it. Time to put those phones away and actually chat to those around you! It is set in a remote location but that makes this even more special. The neighbours are sheep, pretty much in every direction. The bleat of the lambs carrying over the valley. If youâre after somewhere to totally kick back and relax, this is it - weâve had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend it.

This is a very nice cottage that is well equipped and comfortable, and warm and spacious.
The hot tub is a bonus even in November. The cottage is situated 2.8 miles along a single track lane with the nearest dwelling at least a mile away, if you want peace and quiet then this is the place to go. The scenery is beautiful with views of open farmland all around with sheep grazing in nearby fields. There are several walks in the area from easy to strenuous. The whole area for miles around is very scenic and I especially liked the road from Builth Wells to Newtown, via Llandridnod Wells, well worth the trip. The owners are friendly, informative, helpful and our welcome was great with eggs, milk tea and coffee, flowers, and treats for the dog. There was also a treat for us in a bottle of Prosecco.
